NTEMA: THE CULTURAL ENTREPRENEUR (Namibian Broadcasting Corporation) 2019

NTEMA: THE CULTURAL ENTREPRENEUR (Namibian Broadcasting Corporation) 2019

There is an African song about a young man who left with the morning sun, in search of himself and never returned. The folk song speaks to Africa’s loss of identity and culture, which today remains a contemporary challenge for Africans the world over. Recognizing this plight in his own country of Botswana, a Cultural Entrepreneur has set himself on a path to help others rediscover their true selves while making socio-economic contributions to their countries through African indigenous art.

In 2019, TVCA’s Lee Garises and Mathias Kapanga caught up with the Poet and Art Entrepreneur, Onalethuso Ntema in Kasane and found a tapestry of riches in Africa’s song, word and craft. Mambo Ntema has a Folk-Jazz acoustic and live band; Native Drumming, Folk-Jazz acoustics, Poetry and intepretation.
